Emerson | Murfreesboro Newborn Photographer

Emerson was such a sweet little snuggler for our session together. I just loved having him in the studio and being apart of his story. I started knitting this hat for my boy when I was still pregnant with him (he is now 17 months old), and this little guy’s momma was there for the birth of my son. The yarn is thinner than I’m used to, so it took a lot of trial and error and I ripped it all out probably 5 or 6 times. I finally gave up on the idea of having it for his newborn session, and he’s kept me pretty busy and away from yarn ever since but one night I picked it back up. This time, I decided to change the order of the colors. I started with the gray and by the time I got to the red in the back, I realized I had made it in a rainbow pattern, except muted- just my style. From the time I started knitting this to the time it was finished, this little guy’s momma had lost two babies and finally had her rainbow baby. It was a perfect match.

Danae - We love these photos of our sweet boy! They are all amazing, but I have to say I am partial to the first one. You nailed the colors of the blankie, hat, and backdrop. They are so warm and rich! Thank you for taking such great care of him during the session and for sharing your talents with us! 🙂ReplyCancel
